Michael Levy, D.O., FASAM, founder of the Center for Addiction Medicine, has dedicated his more than 25-year medical career to the treatment of alcohol and drug dependencies. As a specialist in the field of addiction medicine, Levy treats individual patients utilizing the most medically advanced techniques and medications.

As a treatment extension, Levy also oversees the Living In Balance intensive outpatient program. One of the only outpatient programs in the state overseen by an addiction physician, the six-week program helps patients avoid hospitalization and allows participants to maintain work and familial responsibilities during the treatment process.

Additionally, he is the only physician in Nevada licensed for Hythiam Treatment Protocols in an outpatient setting and is licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe Subutex/Suboxone for opiate dependence. Licensed in Arizona and Nevada, Levy has received certification by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He has also received certification by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is one of just 202 doctors in the country to be named a fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Additionally, he servers as a consultant to the State Bar of Nevada and Nevada Board of Nursing and is a member of the moral, character and fitness committee for the state bar. He also serves as an expert witness in civil and criminal cases, and aids Nevada's District Courts by providing addiction evaluation in custody cases for the Family Court.
