Some individuals benefit greatly from inpatient treatment, which provides support 24 hours a day and removes the individual from their former surroundings to adjust to living drug or alcohol free. The benefits of inpatient treatment include highly structured days and a reduced likelihood to use drugs or alcohol while in treatment.
Inpatient treatment through the Center for Addiction medicine takes place in a hospital setting and may involve medication. The entire treatment process is supervised by Dr. Levy. This type of in-patient treatment focuses on medical stabilization, abstinence and lifestyle changes. The length of stay for in-patient treatment depends on the individual, but generally averages 7-14 days.
